Survey: Workplace Safety & Respect
We're asking for your help to make our workplaces safer
A short, anonymous survey. Your input shapes how we protect every E4 worker, in every setting.
At E4 People, we know the environments our people work in can be challenging. Aged care facilities, hospitals and residential sites all carry real risks, including the risk of sexual harassment or gender-based harassment, whether from clients, residents, families, or colleagues.
We are developing a Sexual Harassment Prevention Plan in accordance with section 55H of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld) and the Managing the Risk of Psychosocial Hazards at Work Code of Practice 2022. Before we formally implement that plan, Queensland WHS law requires us to engage with and consult our workers and that means hearing from you.
Why this matters for E4 workers specifically
-
Many of our placements involve isolated or lone-working situations; night shifts, minimal supervision
-
Our workforce is predominantly female, with a mix of younger and less experienced workers
-
Workers regularly interact with clients, residents and family members who may exhibit disinhibited or inappropriate behaviour
-
Agency and labour hire staff can sometimes feel less connected to the support structures available to direct employees
These aren't abstract risks, they're the realities of the healthcare and aged care sectors. Our plan will be designed to specifically address them. But it will only be effective if it reflects what you actually experience, what you know, and what you need.
This is part of your formal consultation; it has legal weight.
Under the WHS Act 2011 (Qld), your feedback as a worker must be genuinely considered before we develop, finalise and implement the Prevention Plan. Survey results will be reviewed by our team and shared in a de-identified summary with all staff, along with the specific actions we commit to taking.
The survey covers five areas: your awareness of reporting channels; your confidence to speak up if something happens; the barriers (if any) that would stop you from reporting; your views on training; and any suggestions you have. There is also a free-text field if you want to share something in your own words.
It takes around 5 minutes and is completely anonymous; no names, employee numbers, or details are collected.
